ITEC 610 Week 12 Reflective Learning

The class is finally over, the final exam was a little challenging and harder. Anyway, i am happy all is over now. This week mini-project to create a social network is very good site to keep in-touch with classmate. This class has been very helpful for me, beacuse i was able to learn a lot of things most expecially from the class discussion room, mini-project, textbook, and the instructor notes. This class has been a very good foundation for me, and prepared in many ways for my future classes throuhout the graduate program. Its been a busy summer for me, now i think is time to relaxed and enjoy the rest of the summer before fall classes start.

ITEC 610 Week 10 Reflective Learning

The group project is due this week, am glad we have completed our research. The final exam will be due next week we are getting close to the end of the class gradually. This week mini project about Wikipedia is kind of strange to me, i really did not know that anyone can edit the page as needed, its a good thing, but how do we determined the authenticity and genuity of the content posted since this is all open to the public. The class discussion for this week is an open one, everyone have the opportunity to post anything related to IT or of intersted. I have posted a question about password attack and what methods are used to design strong password. I have also responded to a question posted by classmate about wireless technology how it will affect the world if the transmission radio waves suddely vanished. This week learning experience are based on different area of IT cover in class and in the real world. I am looking forward to the end of this semester by mid August.

ITEC 610 Week 9 Reflective Learning

This week is a little bit challenging because we have the final exam coming up and also working on the group project that is due early part of next week. The topic about security improvenment and security threat and ethic was very interesting because i was able to understand how important is security in any organization. Considering the company i work for, after the end of this week i took a closely look at the security threats in my company by speaking to one of my friend in security team, and he explained the vulnerability and security threats experiencing and what steps are taking to resolves them. The class discussion is one of my favorite aspect for this class, i found it very imperative, most of the ideas are very helpful in understanding different areas of security. I am looking toward the final exam next week and we have less than three week to end the class.

ITEC 610 Week 8 Reflective Learning

This week we discuss about System Development life cycle and the important is software development. SDLC is a basic foundation for that must be consider for a system development process. The SDLC serve as a tool for maintenance that the developer can use at anytime to examine progress. I raised a point on the documentation in software development and how helpful that could be during system implementation. Another intersting topic of discussion for the week is the value and important of planning. A good plan is the basic for success. The reason why some organization failed is because they did not have a solid plans in place. A lot of comment and good points was discuss in this topic.

ITEC 610 Week 7 Reflective Learning

This week about the fedscope the goverment site is an interesting one, the trend that i focus on was federal Trade Commission. The topic about the globalization challenges and off shore outsoucing is a good one. After reading through many comments posted from the discussion class room, i see some reasons why company decided to outsources job oversee, but if that is the best solution for them i am not quiet sure, but from my understanding i think outsourcing take job away from the people that really here in US and pay taxes to government. The global chanllenging discussion i see and understand from different perspective how a political and cultral systems affect globalization.

ITEC 610 Week 6 Reflective Learning

Am glad the mid term is all over now, we are about halve way through the class. The mid term is a little challenging as I also have a midterm exam in my other class, because i did not get started on time and i have five questions to answer, all exams are essay question with minumum of 1pages. The mid term went well but i know for the final i will put more effort and start my exams on time. The midterm is not too difficult some of the questions are just time consuming, what i realized is that you need to put all your ideas form class discussion and the text together as quickly as possibble and start working on it, since we cannot use any external resources to answer the questions and also, you need to really think well to understand the key concept and what the instructor is actually looking for in the exam. I like the weekly blog idea because it is more like a summary of the whole week. So far the class is going good and am really enjoying what am learning from day to day activities, assignment and conferences.

ITEC 610 Week 5 Reflective Learning

Week four is all over now, we are in mid term session. The class is going good so far i like the mini project for this week very challenging and make me think about starting a new online business which i have always been thinking about. Also, i enjoy the posting and great interaction from classmate for this week discussion about the DOT-Com failure its very interesting. At this point, i have seen the informtion system technology in different perspective, by taking this class and with weekly conference participation i can say that i have added more value to my knowlede in various ways.

ITEC 610 Week 4 Reflective Learning

This week i was able to open an account in twitter and currently i have five people following me. i think that is really cool because it make me have some kind of connecction to people and i know more will definately follow me. The class discussion for this week about the next big thing for internet was very interactive, most student are coming up with latest technology that are out there. lot of discussion analysys on the GPS , iphone and touch screen technology. To me this class is not just an education learning experience but exposure to other area through collective idea from teammate. The group project is out for discussion among my team and i am getting prepared for the mid-term exam coming up soon.

ITEC 610 Week 3 Reflective Learning

This week is have been very busy but interesting one, i have learn a lot about database management system and data structures. In order to develop skill you need to understand how data is been stored and retrieved, the relationship between data and how to secure data. The discussion topic from this week have helped me considerable to accomplished it. The e-mails communication, the responses from different classmate and the sharing of ideas has make alot of impact and improve my learning stragegy. I am happy with this class so far and i wish to continues expanding my thinking and my reasoning.

ITEC 610 Week 2 Reflective Learning

This ITEC 610 has been good so far, i just concluded the week two. A lot of learning experience, i enjoy the the class discussion topic about the technology refresh and keeping up with storage, also individual contribution and ideas are very impressive. it is a great way to interact with other classmate i am enjoying it. The week two mini project about the fictional diary entry using podomatic is very good and interesting. I have been able to learn some new technology and skills.

ITEC 610 Week 1 Reflective Learning

This first week have been a very intersting one, i have been able to learn various things expecially from the class discussion, this is my first online class so far am enjoying it. The information technology is beyound my imagination, but with just one week of class i have aquired skills in developing and puting my ideas together. I am looking forward towards exciting semester, and to get more knowledege and skills needed in my day to day activities by the end of this class. It is a very busy time for me now because as am currently taking three class but so far everything is going good except that i have no time for much fun.
